GNCC Wrapup

Well, we made it through the first two rounds of the 2006 GNCC series. We got a 6th in Florida with a 23rd overall, and a class 11th with a 49th overall at The General in Georgia. Scott is currently in 4th place in his class. Not a bad way to start the year. The funny thing is he was only about 16 seconds from a higher place in each event. The competition was fierce and the tracks were tough and challenging. We have had almost a week to get back to normal. It is really hard to get back to the normal routine after two exciting weeks traveling around to all the races and fast pace. Georgia had about 1700 competitors over the two day event. The place was packed! The weather was perfect, and we got tons of pictures. The Yawn family drove up Sunday to hang out at the track and David competed in his first GNCC. He said it was one of the roughest courses he has ever ridden.

Georgia has a new series!
We found out last week that Georgia has a new series. The series will startup on April 2nd in Aonia Georgia. The series will cover Georgia, Alabama, and Tennessee. They will have plenty of classes for everyone and a series banquet. Looks good! You can check out the event dates here. Everyone in the surrounding area needs to support this series. It will be so nice to have a series in the area where we can travel and compete on this level.

We will have a little break before the SORCS series to get ready. Cam is getting ready, he pulled out his bike and started getting it prepped. This will be his first race of the year. Actually, it will be his first race since the 2005 Summer Sizzler Series put on by the Johnsons.

More later.....
