In Memory

Crystal Elizabeth Bryant of Boiling Springs, South Carolina went home to be with the Lord on Friday, November 28th 2008 in Lauren County, South Carolina.

Crystal was 21 and a native of Warner Robins, Georgia. She was the daughter of William (Bill) and Sharon Bryant. Crystal was a 2006 graduate of Boiling Springs High School, Vice President of her Junior Class, a member of the school Broadcasting Club, and was producer of the Bulldog Growl. Currently, she was an honor student at The Art Institute of Atlanta where she was a video production major.
Crystal was involved with the Salkehatchie summer services for five years. She attended New Beginnings United Methodist Church in Boiling Springs and Trinity Vineyard Church in Atlanta.

Crystal was a beautiful, warm and caring soul. Always smiling, and more than eager to help others. She had a lust for life and was mature beyond her years.

This memorial is not to announce the death of Crystal, but the full and deliberate life of such a caring person who truly understood how to live.
I have been a close friend of Bill for over 35 years. He and I raced together, hung out together, and he is possibly one of the best trail riding buddies a person could have. Although Bill was one of my best riding partners, Crystal was, beyond a doubt, Bill's closest riding buddy! Bill is like family to the Rogers family. Always coming by to visit when he is in the area, hanging out at the races. He has always been a supporter of Scott and Cam's racing career. He is the kind of friend that a person is proud have. Honest, caring and never asking anything in return. These are the kind of values that he passed on to Crystal.

Bill and Crystal were spending the Thanksgiving Holiday together doing what they both loved to do best, in the woods riding the trails. It was a great day of riding, something they both enjoyed. Riding was a part of their life. Bill had just surprised Crystal with a new bike and she was enjoying the time riding and sharing the time with her close friend and father, Bill.

I can't express the sadness that Brenda, Scott, Cameron, myself and all of Bill's Dodge County friends feel. We will never be able to understand the reason the Lord chose to take Crystal home. But we can rest in the fact that Heaven has another Angel now, and Crystal left this earth doing one of the things she loved best with the person that was one of her best friends. Everyone that enjoys our sport knows that injury and even death is a part of the sport. It isn't something we dwell on, it isn't something we want to see. But we all realize that we can't just sit around wasting our lives. We want to live and enjoy that life that God has so richly blessed us with. Anyone that knew Crystal, knew that she lived life to the fullest, and would tell us now, if she could, that she has no regrets!

Our thought and prayers go out to our Lord for Bill, Sharon, the entire family and all of Crystal's friends. Our prayer is that the Lord will give Bill and Sharon a peace in knowing that Crystal is in Heaven now and they have precious memories of such a wonderful, loving daughter. We can all say that our live was enriched in knowing Crystal, and pray that Bill and Sharon will proudly carry on the wonderful memory of such a sweet person.

May God Bless you both.

I know this is really late, and all but, I wanted to share a memory that I have of Crystal. I am currently a student at the Art Institute of Atlanta in Dunwoody, and I remember when I first met Crystal, she was, in my opinion, a very helpful and kind hearted person. She helped me countless times with editing projects and I totally appreciated that. I was deeply disturbed to hear of her passing. However, I am thankful of the short little encounters that Crystal and I had. She was thoughtful in welcoming me to the school, and I'm glad that I met her.
